Lion's Mane Jellyfish
This Lion's Mane Jellyfish (Cyanea capillata) was photographed underwater in Prince Williiam Sound, Alaska. The Lion's Mane Jellyfish is also known as the Giant Jellyfish because it is the largest jellyfish and can have bell diameters of over 2 meters . This true jellyfish or Scyphozoan is found in the northern boreal seas of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans as well as the Arctic Ocean.
