Rockfishes: fishes of the genus Sebastes

With more than sixty species, Sebastes is the most diverse fish genus found in the marine waters adjacent to western North America. Sebastes is one of many genera found in the diverse scorpionfish family, the Scorpaenidae. Many Rockfish live on or near rocky reefs within scuba diving depths.
