Photography techniques
The majority of the photography on this website depicts salmon living in their freshwater habitat in south-central Alaska. This gallery is a “behind the scenes” look at the techniques used. They are based around using various Nikon and Canon digital single lens reflex cameras commonly referred to as DSLRs placed in Seacam underwater housings. The Seacam housings with their distinctive silver finish are easily seen in these images. Not as obvious are electrical cords running from the housings to remote controls on shore from where behavior is observed and cameras triggered using Seacam components.
